I'm in the UK so for anyone in other countries I'll briefly explain, there are some companies that you can call free if the number begins with 0800, 0808 or 116, but if you call them from a mobile you get charged unless you have an app that bypasses whatever it is that triggers a charge.

Well I got a text from my service provider (EE) saying that from July 1st these numbers will be free plus they are changing how they charge for certain service numbers like: 084, 087, 09 and 118. they say an add on which they probably will supply soon will let you call for 1p a minute.

So good news, has anyone from other service providers had a similar text, it would be interesting to know if they too are planning the same service?
The reason I ask is I am due to end my contract with EE very soon so will consider another provider.
