what is "SMS delivery confirmation"?

In - Settings > applications > messaging - there is a setting "SMS delivery confirmation".

It is on by default on the CMDA Arrive.

I have not seen this setting on a pre-nodo LG Quantum.


Do any of you guys know what this does?

I've had several messages come back to me as undeliverable, probably due to lack of signal. I'd assume delivery confirmation tells you when they fail.

I've also had one message that was "undeliverable" because signal strength wasn't very good in the area that I was in. I'm assuming that this is what the sms delivery confirmation is. About 99% of the time your messages will be sent just fine so I'm assuming the device won't confirm that it was sent successfully because people would find that annoying.
