After restoring the phone I was experiencing the same issue. So I have concluded that the issue isn't related to 7.8. It appears it is related to the phone automatically connecting to Wifi networks. I have cleared out all the pre-stored Wifi Network Passwords and so far I haven't experienced the issue again. I went ahead and re-installed back to 7.8.

I'm not sure if I have the latest Wifi Drivers from HTC. Does anyone know how I can determine that?
Here are my current settings:
OS version: 7.10.8858.136
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51202.531
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.12.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.12.2250.0(135916)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Just so you know. My HD7 has the same Firmware and Radio Software that yours does. As far as I know these are the most current and the chances that HTC will update them are well....never gonna happen lol.

I am sorry but I am not an expert on this. That is why I made this for the TMO US HD7 only. Your best bet is to look on XDA because they do a lot with the HD2. I hope you get it worked out. I know the HD2 can run almost anything.
Actually i have a HTC HD7 but i got the same error msg.what should i do.plz suggest me..many many thanks for ur post & hard work.. (y) :)

no wifi issues here after the update

OS version: 7.10.8858.136
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51202.531
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.12.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.12.2250.0(135916)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0

Same as you

As for the Internet Sharing, i Know for a FACT that TMO has changed this feature recently in the Service plans, making this not a free option anymore, & need to be included in ur current phone plan if order to function, there is no more FREE Internet Sharing for Tmo anymore, it a paid service now

Connectivity / Data: HTC HD7

I cannot find anything with that error. Is that the whole error? The only thing i can find is to try a different computer. I am not sure if you have that option available. What version of windows OS are you using? vista, 7, 8?

I did notice something different with your HD7. My Radio software version is: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U. So it appears that you are missing a radio update. I don't think this will cause the problem you currently have but you missed this update. How did you get to 8773? Mine was always updated offically until now so you did something unofficial. Is it a TMO version? You may be able to get that update from here: [CAB] Official WP7 Updates List up to WP 7.8 + ALL LANGUAGES complete + OEM updates - xda-developers look at the HTC updates. I am not sure which one you will need though.

i got 8773 automatic with zune
its not TMO version maybe that has somthing to do with it i have a Europe carrier.
i did change the memory card in the phone do you think that has something to do with this? maybe the installation is trying to find the old memory card and cant find it and doesn't recognize the new one ??

Well the language cab may be wrong then. There is a English US and English. Your Phone may have more that English. That could be it. If you just now changed the card then you may need to do a hard reset. Did you try uninstall Zune and reinstall?

After hours of downloading and installing cabs I kept getting 80180048, error message. Lost wifi and other app functions. I was afraid to try custom roms because I'm old & senile. I finally got up the guts and did it, Deepshining 8, very nice and easy. Thanks to Dotcompt. Worked on htc hd7.
