    I recently bought HTC M8 but will be traveling to India for over Month. I would like to use the phone there so wondering the best way to remove carrier lock? Are there any good companies that unlock Att windows phones ? Any recommendation

    If you paid for it in full, AT&T has to unlock it for you.

    call up customer service, say you're traveling abroad and need it unlocked.

    its possible you could get it unlocked for a fee at a third party like cellunlocker.net (i think) but if not, and if ATT says no, you're pretty much out of luck.

    Hit the link and fill in the form... Unlock code should be emailed within a few days provided you have the receipt.

    Unlock your AT&T wireless phone or tablet

    It does have a reference in the small print about needing to have an active post-paid account for 60 days that is current or a prepaid account for 6 months. So, if you don't meet that, you might have an issue.
