Since there are many users eagerly waiting to get Windows Phone 8.1 and don't know how to flash a ROM on the Huawei Ascend W1, I decided to do a quick video-tutorial.

Simple I/O Driver (unsigned)
Qualcomm Support Tool
Custom Bootloader
Windows Phone 8.1 Update-ROM (GDR1)

This doesn't work anymore, Microsoft stopped the 8.1 updates for a while. Although I've heard people still getting the updates on their lumias so I assume they've only stopped distributing the update to huawei devices, because the one and only gdr1 rom that is capable cannot get the update anymore.

Also, the stock rom you posted is GDR2, there's only 1 W1-u00 rom that comes with storage manager and it is this rom.
