I don't know how, but Omiga Plus got downloaded on my computer and now has made itself the default search provider, my homepage, my startup page etc. I have seen this problem in both IE11 and Google Chrome 35. and it has made me mad!!
I have tried everything to remove this.
some suggested to go to the uninstall apps section and remove it, where I went and there was no app called with the respective name. I deleted all registry keys that mentioned this thing. and now I am running continuous scans for finding it. No luck.
And so, I head here for some community help! Please help guys...I am missing my old internet experience.
    I have Windows 7.

Was it in your add remove programs list? Did you remove it from IE and Chrome Add Ins?
If you've done or checked all that, see if it created a folder in your C drive Programs folder

I have checked the c: drive. Its not there. the internet says that it will create a Omiga Plus Pro named file but unfortunately there is no such file.
Now, somehow Google chrome is fixed. But temporarily, when I restart my computer, the this nuisance again comes back with all of its hopeless features. And then I again somehow fix it and then again restart and it again comes back!!
IE11 however is not at all fixable, I cant just remove it, no matter what I do.

Do a search for a program called "hijackthis". It's designed to get rid of dodgy stuff that changes your homepage and search etc, especially for IE. Run it and remove anything it finds related to that Omiga Plus. You may be better running it in safe mode (with no network) to prevent it redownloading while you try and get rid of it.

We had a notebook with this on it last year.
Took a couple of days to get rid of it.
Can't remember how we nuked it exactly.

I know the wife chased it down using task manager, hijackthis and a system bootscan.
It was showing up as "Isearch or Isearch.omiga" in tasks.

That's good advice from DavidP2 about restarting in safe mode (disconnected) before using any removal tools.

The brutal/last resort option would be to rescue data (such as images and documents) to a USB stick, online storage or to your phone, and just wipe the whole machine and start afresh. And then install anti-malware+antivirus tools before doing anything else (in fact download and drop them onto a USB stick before wiping).

    Been there...
My neighbor has a hijacker on his PC right now.
I keep jumping thru hoops to get rid of it for him, yet he keeps downloading Ebay utilities and other questionable stuff with no defender or anti malware running.
He must have every sneaky toolbar and antivirus add-on ever pushed.
His browser lights up like Christmas when it finally opens lol

Omiga is certainly a tough one.

Those silly smiley face toolbars are one of the worst, in my opinion.
