Ok so I just bought my cyan Lumia 920 outright yesterday at my local MS store, and I love the phone! However, I'm in a tough spot right now, and thinking about it, I feel like I should've just bought the 900. Any reasons why I should keep my 920? The only reason I bought the 920 is because I'm sick of my Xperia x10i crashing on me, and I want to try WP8 and the 920's features like OIS...
Any reasons why I should just buy the 900. I love taking pics, but my main priority is to have a phone with great reception, internet, and call quality.

As i type this, the current price of the Lumia 900 at Amazon ranges from $230 - $300..
And the price of the Lumia 920 is $499... I also don't plan on upgrading my phone for the next 3 years or so...

Well, the 920 is the newest thing. Why would you regret getting it instead of the 900? With the 920, you get Windows Phone 8, the newest operating system, and there are so many more features that you wouldn't find in the 900. I think you made the better purchase. :)

I'll know for sure once I get my ST sim. hehe.
Forgot to mention that the Lumia 810 for value plan customers (like me) would have to pay $499 to get it!
Might as well switch to AT&T and get the 920 hehe.

If you are going to keep your phone for 3 years, I would choose the 920 over the 900, as the 920 will likely be more "future proof" than the 900.

We're already seeing the benefits of WP8 with more reliable and capable live tiles, live apps, and better hardware. There's really no reason to be stuck on a phone which will see WP 7.8 as it's swan song when WP8 looks to be very promising, even at this early stage.

900 is trapped in WP7 world.. It is an end of life operating system and it won't be getting support for WP8. WP8 apps won't work with WP7 unless a WP7 version is built. IMO buying the 900 is no better then buying a palm pre.

That worrys me though. Will we all be stuck on wp8 when wp9 comes out next year? That would be worse than android.

18 months of OS support was promised. so you get atleast 18 months of support. I highly doubt 8 will get the same treatment of 7. 8 is what 7 should have been. I think it will be around for a long time.

I'm actually more worried about tethering using my ST sim. Windows 8 and WP8 are really intertwined, so I really think the support will last longer than 18 months..
Anyways, has anyone tried to tether with Straight Talk??

Windows NT kernel in WP8 is very flexible and supports up to 64 cores. You should be able to upgrade for a while.
