i was glad to hear that my optimus 7 is supporting GPS. i tried bing maps, but since i don't have a mobile internet flatrate this doesn't work outside, where i actually need it - and inside i can't get a GPS signal. So i got Navigon, walked a few miles and it turned out to be inaccurate to hundreds of meters. is there a way to recalibrate it or is it just the chip?

Maybe this link will help you. 350m after Mango or 7.8 is the best we got...

it should improve stuff when you update something. this is ridiculous, i don't want to miss 7.8 features and roll back to mango just for some navigation.

GPS Fails after WP7 Mango Update - Page 3 - Vodafone eForum , Look at the post from "mrjetking" (‎01-11-2011 01:42 PM). The settings he's talking about can be found in the MFG-app. Look at this page how you can install this app MFG application: full access (reg, tethering, dev menu, diag menu) - xda-developers (first post). Don't go change any other settings in the app, except the GPS settings, if you don't know what the settings do.
