Automatically dump pictures and videos to my Mac?

Is there some way to get a windows phone 8 device to automatically transfer pictures and videos to my Mac (possibly to iPhoto or even any preset folder) whenever I connect to my WiFi network which my Mac is also connected to?

If not over WiFi then how about when I connect it using the cable?

It would be awesome if just a smaller version of the photos was left on the phone.

Back up your photos to SkyDrive. Then just log into SkyDrive on your Mac and voila, photos. Microsoft is working on a native Mac client for SkyDrive, as well, which would allow seamless sync that you describe.
