Okay so let me start off by saying that about a week ago, my lumia 900 had a glass of water dumped on it by my cat.

I immediately turned the phone off by holding down all the buttons until it shut off. I then put the phone in a bag of rice and left it there for an hour. When I came back I noticed that my phone had turned itself on! Now all my phone does is display a black screen with what i expect as it wants me to plug it into a pc. The only problem is that when I do plug it into a pc then start up the windows phone program, it flashes for a second saying "connecting to device" then goes back to the "Connect your Windows Phone to Continue" text.

Can anyone help me?

I have attached a photo of the screen.

It looks like you need to flash a new ROM, go to xda forums and check there. I think that will help.
I will try that, thank you.
Is it Zune you mean when you say "windows phone programme"?
I dont think so. Here is the app im using. Windows Phone app for Mac | Windows Phone 8 | Windows Phone How-to | Windows Phone (United States)
It is also possible that the device might be irreparably damaged from the water.

Yeah that's what I think, but it doesn't hurt to try!
