    iPhone Microsoft Band App

Got 100 for skin temp on my first try indoors and just tired it again after working out for an hour and its 102. I pretty much bought the app just to see the hidden sensor data.

    Calories burned is bogus

I typically do 30 minutes of crossfit with a trainer then 30 minutes of strength training on my own twice a week and will burn 600 calories for the hour. All I look at are calories burned during a 60 minute workout and I feel the band gives a good estimate of this regardless of what type of...

    Calories burned is bogus

Fat is just stored energy so it doesn't burn calories, it's a potential source of calories for the body to burn. Yes more muscle = more calories burned to maintain it and to repair it. You'll increase your base metabolic rate, mine right now is around 1900 calories per day. Professional body...

    Calories burned is bogus

The only thing right in that article is that weight training alone doesn't burn a lot of calories as your not taxing your body all that much. Your heart rate only goes up for very short periods of time, a couple minutes at most, and there is a lot of resting between reps. I monitor my band a...

    Calories burned is bogus

Exercise is exercise. It doesn't matter what you are doing, lifting weights, running , swimming, bicycling, etc. calorie burn is all calculated the same way by your heart rate. Lifting weights doesn't elevate your heart rate near as much as cardio that's why you burn so few calories from doing...

    Calories burned is bogus

I copied this from another site. One of the more standard and most accurate ways to calculate the equation is to use the calorie expenditure formula below . It comes from the Journal of Sports Sciences and provides a formula for each gender. Men use the following formula: Calories Burned =...

    Calories burned is bogus

I run on a track using the band with GPS off and my last run was 3.21 miles (actually only 3 miles but the bands off a little without the GPS) and it burned 278 calories. I've used the band for running since it came out and these results are pretty consistent I run at a 9-1/2 minute per mile...

auto sync of data with wp?

I'm not using a data connection with this phone, just wifi, and I'm leaning towards that as the issue. I think the Health app looks for a data connection and when it doesn't find one it doesn't try to turn on the wifi radio to establish a connection it just shuts down. Best I can come up with.

auto sync of data with wp?

Sync in the background is turned on but is using <1% of battery. The data is not updating in the background, yesterday for instance I walked over 14,000 steps and what was registered on the phone app was only 100, what I synced when I first woke up and opened the health app. The band and the...

auto sync of data with wp?

After having the Lumina phone 2 days I finally got notice I had updates available so I installed them and now I no longer have to manually hit the sync button. But the data still will only sync after I open the Microsoft Health app, it won't sync on its own when the app isn't open like it does...

auto sync of data with wp?

I originally had my band set up with my iPhone 6 but got tired of constant BT connectivity issues so I bought a cheap WP to experiment with, a Lumina 635 for $45 on Amazon. I now no longer have BT connectivity issues but the data never automatically syncs like it did on my iPhone, I have to...
