New AT&T customer here, but from what I've heard it's not odd at all that they are taking their time with the firmware update.

That's for sure possible, and probably likely, however I remember when .29 was released, I was able to get the update as soon as it was announced.

Bingo. I got mine on launch as well, sitting on .29. The firmware updates I (somewhat) understand. OS updates, however, should be able to go through without AT&T's approval. On some other sources, people with AT&T branded phones have reported getting the update, but neither me nor the two others...

Wanted to check and see if any other non-insiders on the AT&T branded L950 have gotten the .107 update. Many people haven't, others have stated to do a hard reset and they got the update after that. I tried a hard reset and no update, also used WDRT which reset me to .0, the only update...

False. I live smack-dab in the middle of the country, more land-locked than anyone, and mine says Maritim.

I don't see an option anywhere to set the brightness, though I'll defer to someone else who might know more about that.

Do you have SMS notifications set on the lock screen? Glance (should be anyways) configured to show the same notifications as you have on your lock screen.

Do note however that you'll be unable to hide it while running WP8 apps.

Have you checked this out? I haven't gotten one yet but it seems like it would add minimal bulk...

Good to know. When I saw the 640XL they didn't have the 950XL demo unit anymore so I couldn't compare, however I (falsely) assumed that since the screen size was the same the phones were essentially the same size. So thank you for that!

As a disclaimer, I have seen the 950XL in person only once, it was briefly several weeks ago at a Microsoft store (before they pulled the demo units). However, just last week I did see the 640XL up close and personal, and being the same size, I think it's a great looking device but maybe a bit...
