Yeah, with all these problems except #1, we could claim that the RM983 is a defect product and AT&T/MS need to fix it or replace it. Given that it is 9 to 10 months after its release and no fix have been provided, we could ask for a refund.

If you bought it from MS off contract, then ATT wouldn't do anything for it. Take it to MS is the only way. Focus on the defects, so buyers remorse become nonsense.

No matter which OS you choose next, I think you should BBB MS and get the money back. Without the firmware update, RM983 is a defect product. MS doesn't have obligations to deliver new features but it has the obligation to fix defects.

Also, I think you could file a BBB complaints against MS directly.

I think you can point out to MS that it is a MS product and it is broken: The Netflix app and BT connection issues as examples. As a consumer, you have no ability to figure out who to blame, however, MS has the responsibility to fix their broken product.

If you bought from ATT, then MS store likely won't help you. You could try to do the warranty claim/BBB though.

You know , there is a law in California that any phone made after 7/1/2015 has to have the kill switch. So unless 830 is discontinued before that, it will have a 8.1gdr2 by then.

In a quiet environment, I could hear them in normal operation distance, although they are soft. If you didn't hear any when you switch away from the camera app, then I think I may have to go to store to check out the display models.

I just got a new L830. Everything works well except one thing: When I open the camera or close it, I hear very light click sounds (two when I start the camera and one when I close it), like shutter sound, but much lighter. Is it normal? My old L920 didn't have this kind of sound.
