928 Able to buy in store on 05/16?

tc - if you could, how about 01460? I know my closest corporate stores are either Nashua NH or Burlington MA, just wondering if they will have stock 5/16. Thanks!

Nokia Lumia 928 with PureView camera and aluminum body

I believe the Qi he is referring to is the Wireless Charging standard that is currently in the other Lumia's (and the Verizon 8x, for that matter)

Question to Surface RT owners: What video formats can it play?

Another endorsement for mobile.HD - it is a phenomenal player. The developer is responsive as well and updates fairly frequently to fix bugs and add features. So far it has played everything I've thrown at it, and that includes stupidly massive MKV's with DTS-HD MA audio (I remuxed a lot of my...

Wireless Charging Technology for 8X- Which one is it?

I can confirm it is Qi and the Nokia charging accessories are compatible. Aside from anecdotal evidence that points to the Nokia Charging Plates charging the device, when I picked my 8x up last night I noticed the rather odd display layout, that being the 8x right next to the Nokia charging...

    VZW WP8 Update

I agree - especially since they went through the trouble of getting the Red one exclusive to them lol...It wouldn't be SO bad if the Red one was at least shipping the same time as the rest, but no, we have to wait a whole extra week or two now :(

    VZW WP8 Update

Most definitely not - the Red color is unfortunately an online exclusive per Verizon's updated statement regarding release: Nokia Lumia 822 - Windows Phone 8X by HTC I am in the same boat as you...waiting extra long for the precious Red device :(

Wireless Charging Technology for 8X- Which one is it?

I think the reference on the website is simply referring to the general term of a "power-mat", not necessarily the Powermat standard. As far as I know, no phones come with Powermat built in (they all require a case of some sort). Along with the fact that HTC and Verizon Wireless are both...

    Verizon users.

I placed my preorder on Thursday for the 8X primarily because it was the best (I suppose that's subjective, but for my needs it handily beats the 822) coming to Verizon for the time being. However, Friday my friend and I went to the mall and checked out the 8X in person - it blew me away. I...

    HTC 8X battery life

There are a lot of things that factor into web browsing battery life...Anandtech, where that chart is from, is probably the most accurate site you can find, as far as scientific tests go (for all subjects, not just battery life). In any event, I too found it odd that the iPhone on LTE did way...

A bit of WP love from Verizon.

Well that is good to see - I agree with your sentiment on the signing up thing though...the same thing happened with the Galaxy Nexus I currently own...I signed up only to get spammed about Droid Razr's and Razr MAXX's...I did finally get that email letting me know the Galaxy Nexus had been...

Where can we see just RT apps?

There isn't a specific section, at the moment anyway, but from any windows 8 machine if you browse to an app in the store it will tell you supported architectures. If it says x86, x64, ARM - it will work on RT. if it only says x86, x64 then no RT.

    another hint for verizon 9XX

With all these bits and pieces coming out I'm beginning to put things together...here's my theory: As we all know, back with WP7 MS partnered with Nokia to provide a first class hardware/software combination. This gave Nokia payments of hundreds of millions of dollars, in exchange for some...
