    Chrome or Internet Explorer

I use Lastpass for password synchronization and Xmarks for bookmark sync between Firefox on my SP2 and Internet/Chrome on my Note 4. It costs a little per year, but I'm happy to not have all my passwords saved in Chrome.

[SP2] Full refund available within its warranty period if you want...

I also use a BT mouse and have had no issues connecting to my 2.4GHz WiFi router. I wonder if this might be an issue with the original SP2s (4200 series processor vs 4300 or some other hardware fix introduced with the new processor). I have a 4300 and have had no problems with simultaneous WiFi...

    Revit 2013 Performance

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing the positive experience. I'd like to know if someone has actually found an upper limit in revit for the 8gb version.

48w Aftermarket Power Supplies. Anybody using one?

I got a genuine charger for about $30 on eBay. A third party charger on amazon was about half the price, but I didn't want to risk having to pay for a replacement SP in a few months to a year, so I paid the extra $15.

Experiment: Surface Pro vs old Macbook

Same here, no issues after about a year of using SPs, including several desktop apps simultaneously. Get a replacement.

This link doesn't work anymore. I'd be interested if there are any other lists or if someone saved the page offline.

    Chrome SUCKS on my Surface!

Does Canary fix the Chrome battery usage issues as well? It would be nice to be able to use Chrome again on an SP.

    Surface pro 2/3

I sold my SP2 a 128gb few months ago and just recently purchased a 256gb + power cover for a lower price. Until the s3 gets a real full-sized power cover and drops substantially in price, I recommend going with the SP2. 8gb ram and the extra storage are more important to me than a larger...

Battery life on the Pro 2

I'll have to look through other programs to see if something else (other than Chrome) might be draining the battery. Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 4

Battery life on the Pro 2

After my 5-hour battery life yesterday, I was ready to return the SP2. This was with Chrome closed the entire time, and I even unchecked the "allow Chrome to work in the background" option. I didn't even use Chrome, so I decided to uninstall it entirely last night. So far today, I'm at 66% after...

    Vapormg Issues

Thanks for the insight MBytes. The SP2 scratches if you look at it the wrong way. I ordered a 3-pack of screen protectors. I put one on the screen and cut up another to put it on the back. It's not elegant, but it's better than having scratches all over the back, and I'm not too interested in a...

    Power Cover Available for purchase

@MBytes, Hypothetical example: let's say the SP2 and the dock are dying (less than 2 hours left). I need to use it as a tablet but don't necessarily need the KB, and I don't want to sit next to an outlet the whole time with a cord hanging off the tablet to charge it. I plug in the KB...

Some Metro apps don't have internet access when using a USB 4G card

    That's a possibility. I'll look into it.

    Power Cover Available for purchase

Thanks Neo. IMO MSFT missed the mark on this on a few different fronts. 1) No backlighting 2) No way to charge the cover separately, so that you can't use the tablet for your work while the cover is charging, then attach it to recharge the SP2. Asus has been doing this for years with the...

    Power Cover Available for purchase

The lack of backlighting doesn't appear to make much sense. Regardless, can anyone post pics of the sides of the cover? Some questions for the early purchasers: 1) Does the have its own charging port so it can be charged independently of the Surface? 2) Does it happen to come with an extra...
