Text Message Notifications No Longer Sync To PC

I'm glad this thread was here. I had no idea why this disappeared. OK, I switched to Skype Preview on my phone and made it default, and I switched on SMS sync in the Skype Preview app on the PC. However, I'm still not getting any message relays on my PC when I get a text on my phone. Even if the...

    Tripod mount/adapter for lumias?

I use the Shoulderpod S1, which is about $35 in the US. It is simple, well balanced and comes with a useful hand grip. Coincidentally All About Windows Phone just posted a review of a Kickstarter for a new grip and triple-tripod mount called Glif. It also comes with a hand grip. Link to AAWP...

Should I return my 950 xl?

Was your purchase more than 30 days ago? There is a 30 day return policy so if you're inside that window you should absolutely open one or both and use it! My wife and I have these phones and love them. They are definitely faster phones than the Blu HD and the camera is top notch.

Is the 950XL the last Windows Phone you buy?

Re: Is the 950XL the last Windows Phone you buy I've had a 1020, 930 and now 950XL. I've had the 950 since basically the new year, and by now I'm not sure what there is to miss from the older two phones. After trying to find something to do with my old 1020 and failing (it is just too slow), I...

    Battery Status on Glance/Lock Screen

I can't remember ever seeing the battery icon on the glance screen except when it's plugged in. On the lock screen, you mean you turn on the phone and the very top bar of the phone doesn't have a battery icon - where the cellular, wifi etc. icons are on the left? I think the battery icon only...

950XL brightness stuck and slow wake up problem

I've had the same problem with slow wakes from sleep. I did a hard reset several days ago (actually used DRT to get latest FW and didn't restore from backup) because rebooting only temporarily fixed the problem. Now a week after the hard reset the slow wake happened again this morning. This is...

    650 or 950

If you have the money the 950 is worth it. Stability has been fine the last three months - my wife's 950 has 9 days uptime this morning and performs fine. The camera is world class (no exaggeration, I've had both the 930 and 1020 and this one is faster & sharper) and the processor is great...

    Lumia 950XL Bugs + Defects

Well shoot, after doing the device recovery tool it takes me back to 107, then immediately does an update to 420. So if the instability is in build 420 I am stuck.

    Lumia 950XL Bugs + Defects

I'm also on 420 and I've been having tons of lockups and a couple unexpected reboots. The lockups seem to happen after being in standby but also when music is playing (or just with groove in the background, paused). I wonder if it has to do with wifi, since wifi now stays connected coming out of...

    Mozo covers 950 xl

Mine is sturdy, has held up well and looks great. Biggest drawback is how hard it is to push the power button - seriously mine takes a hard, dedicated press before the power turns on. I have the brown leather case for my 950XL.

    Are MS bands unreliable junk?

Thank you - the stainless steel Vector looks nice! And Amazon reviews seem to have a few satisfied Windows Phone customers. I just asked my daughter and she said she doesn't get notifications on her fitbit. I'm tempted to put her on the insider builds to see if that changes things, but I don't...

    Are MS bands unreliable junk?

Microsoft bands are definitely limited production runs (especially compared to other platforms). Band 1 was supposed to be a market test but it proved to be far more successful than they dreamed, so they pushed forward with a bigger run of the Band 2. They are definitely not mainstream...

    Are MS bands unreliable junk?

Thanks, that makes sense. Is it really the only fitness band that collects notifications from Windows?

    Are MS bands unreliable junk?

Junk? In a word, no. But I don't think general consumers are the target audience. They are aspirational devices, to demonstrate what can be done with MS services and to show off design. Also the band 2 works with android and iOS so there's no connection with "windows phone ... bleeding users."...
