Alright and since that has been moved on from by both involved parties let's get it back on topic. Softcard or soon to be lack there of and mobile payments, particularly NFC payments.

Also a note. Softcard is pulling its android app as well according to their website.

I'm using my icon as a back up and hoping that something comes along that will sway me back to the platform full time. I'm also very tired of always waiting for something. I almost sold my Icon but I keep it around just in case.

That answer might be pushed out until October with the release of windows 10. MWC is coming up soon though right? we might end up with an answer at that point.

I understand the buyout this time. It was more like a buy in with the carriers. Sucks for WP users since our only option we were bullied into using is gone. Hopefully since this is a pretty anticompetitive move, we end up being able to use the built in wallet app for tap+pay.

I switched back to my icon today because my G2 went for a swim. Wondering the same thing myself.

Inland empire... I was surprised when I went there and saw that they had it.

Thats great for those phones. The lack of updates on the Icon would seem to show otherwise, at least for our special case.

Many others have had many problems, including myself, using the the Dev Preview. The lack of firmware is their concern, not OS updates as much. Certain functions and features aren't enabled without it. BTLE for one.
