How good compare to WP8.1? What about the camera performance and related photography apps?

+1 Here. I'm not in a hurry to upgrade to W10M. Will sit it out until it addresses the battery drain (and camera/photography related bugs).

Will stay out of W10M for a while if this is the case, my 2 main issues for staying out are (1) battery life and (2) photography/ camera related bugs, but I can live with the other bugs.

I already reverted back to 8.1 bec. of battery drain and photography related issues. I also prefer the new interface of W10M

I turned off wi-fi and data, plus enabled battery saver. 1520 lasted for only for 9 hours. But the scariest part is IT WONT CHARGE, even after two soft resets. I turned the unit off for a while, then plugged the charger back. Good thing it responded. I will definitely revert back to 8.1 and try...

Try performing the roll back again. I experience the same thing but the issues were resolved after I reinstalled the software again (hard reset did not fix it).

Sorry to hear that. I don't know now what I did wrong (or right) to keep Lumia Camera working
