If I'm nitpicking — no, then 1280 will not do for full quality as the selection of the start screen image clearly shows a 1:1 image is somewhat significantly cropped on the sides to make it “longer” and scrollable.

I know it works going from the article links — if the app is available in my region (Norway), but I've seen this issue on applications that I've had on previous phones but deleted due to lack of space. Then it can't be related to (lack of) regional roll-out pace.

Keep having issues finding applications that I know is out there. Today I had issues finding both applications I desired to have a look at, that Windows Central articles talks about. I get to the applications by links and so, but it frustrates me that searching the store on the phone so often...

That's the same behavior I had with Extras+Info, so try the tricks shared here. By logic, it should be a viable solution for you too.

The question is — how much more.

No need for that as pankaj's link above your post solved it gracefully. I did search for it in the on-phone store, but couldn't find it — as happens to quite a few things I know is there.

We "all" know the pixel size of the 830's screen, thus it's lock screen background image size. But ? how much taller is the scrolling background image of the start screen ... Does anyone have a link to a reliable source of such "technical" information of the OS/Phone?

I've always gone (around) naked — with my phones. It's a everyday item and some wear and tear should be accepted. I'f we intend to keep it mint for resale, it's a tough job to sell "out-dated" technology even if it's in mint conditions. — So why bother beyond applying a careful mindset to avoid...

I tried/used the process too (jumping straight to 2114), and was as suggested offered to remove "Extras+Info" due to an "error" when starting it. Now that it's gone, I have restarted the 830 and tried both "Phone Update" (shouldn't be relevant as it's normally updated as an app) as well as...

I where wondering why it didn't work. Well, let's do the waiting game again meanwhile ...
