I have a translucent soft plastic case from Incipio. It was bundled with the device from the Microsoft Store. It's one of my favourite cases. It's snug but comes off easily, and the tactile feel for all the buttons is just right.

Speaking only for myself, the battery life is really good on my DS950 unlocked from Microsoft. Easily lasting my entire workday with moderate usage on encrypted exchange email, texts, music and browsing. The anniversary update has among other things really cleaned up the interface and improved...

I have an Unlocked DS950 direct from MS and just installed the anniversary update. When trying to activate "record a call" I get a message that there is no compatible app installed. Is that feature broken now? Otherwise the update is quite nice.

Lithium ion batteries are in the news a lot lately for exploding and burning. Do you think it could be a bad battery causing your issue? I would try another battery to test with. Although the risk is small you certainly you don't want any unnecessary risk of injury.

Check your default font size in settings. Try scaling them down slightly. Or, when you are in edge try double tapping the screen and edge might rescale the pages on it's own.
