and unlocking is only in regard to GSM phones (sim cards)

US cellular is CDMA based. CDMA phones will only activate on their native CDMA network (and they may on a GSM network). In other words... only us cell phones will work on us cells network.

I did the same move a couple of weeks ago. I am glad I moved, but my icon is faithfully waiting in my drawer for this "big thing." What I do miss from WP though: deep email integration, driving mode, and the swipe keyboard. I got over it though.

Not just snapchat (and btw I am a kid in college) but official apps seems to be poorer on our beloved platform

I've been with the WP platform since 2011. I survived WP7 (that's when the app situation was really bad!) and when I migrated to my 928 everything was wonderful! I hate to judge a phone by its apps but certain apps makes a phone what it is. And I hate to admit it but apple does make quality...

Don't worry! I still will still stick with Windows 7 and 8! I cannot go for a mac computer! I despise them! I might even use the Icon for gophone use....I don't know yet

Everyone, I have some sad news to report. Due to poor snapchat notifications on 6snap and the app situation (banking and a pesky work app that would be useful to always have), I have just purchased an Iphone 5c. I still fully support the WP platform and I will hang onto my Icon and may someday...

Icon ordered! I have another upgrade in Jul 15, and maybe one in October so we shall see if the Icon gets upgraded anytime soon!

Hi, with VZW recent price cut I am wandering is it worth upgrading from the 928 to the Icon? Glance doesn't matter to me. Or should I just wait for the next gen to arrive on VZW?
