With MS's bet on Android apps, its predominance on the desktop space and a placeholder SMS app in Windows 10, it surely seems like MS is in the perfect place to bet on a true iMessage competitor. Would we ever see one?

I basically miss the UI. It was just so nice and replicating it perfectly on Android is impossible. I miss the tiles, the fluidity, the black, the all apps list... God do I miss it.

I'm not much of a streamer. I like to actually own my music. However, on the rare occasion that I need to do some streaming, I just use an app provided by my carrier. I have it for free on my contract, but even if it wasn't, it's cheaper than most alternatives.

I'm not giving up... Just retrenching.

Firefox is my main. Been using it since my college days and never looked back. When I changed from IE to FF, I went back and forth between Chrome and FF. Chrome annoys the hell outta me so I won't be caught dead using it. My backup is Edge and it's enough for me... I only need it about once a month.

For me it is because it's what drove me away... In regards to the bigger picture, it's the endless retrenching and strategy change, IMHO. How can devs and users alike feel confident on the platform if its own creator changes his mind every year or so?

I honestly don't really see the point in it. You can always buy the phone elsewhere and install the apps yourself... Making it so that there isn't a differentiating feature between the two versions. Kinda redundant, IMHO. However, it does make me wonder why is MS wasting time with this instead...

The point is that Belfiore doesn't have to use what you think he should use. He has to use whatever he feels like he should use. Only an extremely short-minded person would think that since he uses an iPhone, he doesn't like/believe/whatever in Windows Phone.
