Question...if you have an unlocked phone and use it on AT&T's network, should you get the firmware updates then?

I don't have a TV source connected to Xbox one, so I can't speak for the OneGuide.

I'm also not having any issues with volume controls being passed through to my receiver...(unless I'm mistaken and my remote is set to send the volume controls directly to my receiver, but I don't believe that to be the case...could be though)

Ditto for the IR commands...no change from prior. My Harmony remote is still working the same as before the update.

Hah...thank you sir. If you noticed...I haven't posted much lately. I'll wait until a near final release to check it out again. It was clear in the early days what the direction was going to be (as unpolished as it was) ("If you can't beat 'em, join 'em")

Re: Impressions from an armchair designer Certainly still early stages, the focus is clearly on Windows 10 desktop at the moment (I wonder how far behind the Windows 10 for mobile release will be?) If you followed the Windows 10 development...there's been a lot of recent "polishing" type...

I hadn't thought of the conflict between pivot left/right swipes (i.e. 8.1 use of pivots) and content left/right swipes before (i.e. iOS mail up, W10 mail app)...but it makes sense. Just pulled up my email app on 8.1 to think about it further...if I'm thinking only about that one use case...

I don't think you would be, just like you don't have to update to 8.1. But even if you don't like "some" of the changes...it will probably still be the right move as features are added. Over time the feature gap between 8.1 and 10 will widen, at some point it will be enough to tip the scales...

Then I again...I do see the ellipsis in other screenshots...maybe it is in the above post and just hidden by the podium?

That's exactly how I have to re-adjust my hand awkwardly to use the new controls. I've tried to describe that in other posts, it's definitely easier to see in a video. I noticed this from MWC...are pivots really gone? Or is MS just confused? From WindowsCentral live blog, looks like pivots...

That was some good conversation between manicottiK and a5cent. I always thought it was the application bar you use to change context...i.e. the mail app (switch to folders, settings, etc.) or the calendar app (switch between monthly, weekly, etc.). But that clearly didn't always work that...

In what ways do you prefer the Windows 10 tablet mode? (The way it currently stands...understanding that changes hopefully are coming).
