I hardly ever restart the surface.

I would say just press it down, but if it will not stay down then take it back and get a replacement. that is a manufactures defect.

I see now.... It is supposed to go under on to the back of the kickstand.

I have never had a sticker on any of my surface devices that covered the hinge area like yours does in the picture.

Ok...one more test... The adaptor above vs the factory charger. Looks like the USB-C adaptor was faster than factory.

I have noticed that in portrait orientation, even after additional setup in that mode, that it is not very good and is hit or miss. However in landscape mode it is fast and about 100% of the time. Sounds like it might be a software issue.

Try changing the pen tips.... I had that issue with my SP2017 pen and once I changed the tip it worked.

I would hope the battery quality of the Surface line VS the Insignia line would be better. Just based on price.

Exactly, I value the portable design over the "power" of the i5. So I can meet my needs and net out about $200-$300 in the process.

It only takes seconds... never has it taken a minute on the go or pro for that matter.

I have a Surface Pro 2017 I5, 256GB that is a great machine and works very well. But FOR MY NEEDS the Surface Go is a much better fit. If it works for me I imagine it would work for others too. Anyway off to sell my Pro for about $950...LOL
