    Can't open wallet app

I thought after finally getting the firmware update all my problems with this phone, but that's just not my luck. The wallet app just won't open through any means since the update. Soft resetting didn't fix it and I'm a bit hesitant to go through another hard reset. I suppose I can add funds to...

    Tumblr

There's also Turtle Blog Viewer, which is a rather nice alternative. I'd say it's a bit more fleshed out than sapphire, but the ui is somewhat unpleasant.

Is anyone else picking up an update on the 8XT?

finally got the update after enabling the developer program again. everything seems to be running smooth now. looks like my panic was for nothing. unfortunately, i did a hard reset and lost all my app data and a few apps that are no longer published.

    Backup always fails

8xt user here. Backup always stops at 14% and never progresses. I'd love to fail at 96% like most of you, but I can't even get close. EDIT: Progress? turning off "app backup" allowed me to get to 100%. I sorta get the feeling something about the apps is the problem here. Is it possible I have...

Is anyone else picking up an update on the 8XT?

was the post where the update was announced deleted? i had it saved to my offline list and it seems to have vanished. anyways after hitting up some more support agents, i've heard a bunch of different answers. i don't think there's any way to get a straight answer out of HTC.

How do I turn off Narrator on my Windows Phone 520?

are you pressing them at the same time? i think you have to hold down the volume up button for a bit and then hit the windows button for it to work. you might deafen yourself when the narrator screams the volume level. the timing can be a bit tricky.

Is anyone else picking up an update on the 8XT?

Honestly, I'm just done with both MS and HTC now. This is ridiculous. Windows 10 isn't going to change anything. MS will continue to produce low end budget phones and the other OEMs will keep giving terrible support. edit: after contacting htc support again, i've been told that it's most...

Is anyone else picking up an update on the 8XT?

had a live chat with a support agent and it seems they're looking to point the finger at Microsoft. they claim that developer phones only receive updates via the develop program and that there's nothing they can do but contact microsoft. i'm hoping he just doesn't know what he's talking about...

Is anyone else picking up an update on the 8XT?

i'm a bit confused by the whole "released in waves" thing. does that mean it's location based as to when you receive the update? the fact that quite a few developer preview users are reporting in that they haven't received it is making me nervous. i wouldn't doubt HTC's ability to screw this up.

Bing updates cannot be downloaded to SD card

So the update did nothing but rebrand them to a dying name and force us to move them onto phone storage? What the hell, Microsoft? Every time you're on the right path you go and do things like this to annoy your user base.

    From HTC 8S to 8X

HTC is rather shy about support for the 8x/8xt. It seems they want to just forget about them. I wouldn't recommend trusting HTC to support such an old device. Also, beats is pretty useless. I actually turn it off because it tends to ruin the sound quality. It just muffles everything but the bass.

I thought game saves work on 8.1

It's a relatively new feature for WP, so most devs haven't added it yet.

Htc 8x - who is responsible for the update delay?

Preview for developers is directly from MS, so the OEM usually isn't needed. In this case,HTC is responsible though. HTC needs to release a firmware update for their phones before they can run on the new software. They've had ages to do it, but somehow still haven't managed it.
