    Best Horror Games for VR?

Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul is supposed to be pretty scary. I haven't tried it myself, but it might be something that could scare your boyfriend... Does he generally get scared from movies and other things? You know, from jump scenes and the like?

    Beyond gaming....

I know that one the more interesting applications could be used in a court room. Rather than jurors getting 2D pictures, they could see the whole crime scene in VR and get a much better sense of the crine itself.

    Cable to PC

There are also ceiling lanyards with clips that can hold up cables from VR and MR systems alike. See the following link for picture examples...

I have only used the Oculus Rift and absolutely love the Touch controllers.

Affects of being on VR for long durations

Wearing a headset for a long time can definitely hurt the head. Also, depending on the game, playing for a long time can cause VR sickness.

    Must-Try VR Games

Lone Echo is a must Must play VR game. It has hours of fun and an amazing storyline. Be warned though, the game has you play as if you're in zero G and it can make some people have VR sickness. But it is awesome nonetheless!

    Standalone VR devices

There are two really promising standalone headsets coming out in 2018. The Oculus Santa Cruz and the HTC Vive Focus look like they'll be the best.

    What's the point?

I looked at the article and it is really interesting. The one I found most interesting was that virtual reality could be used in the courtroom. Instead of jurors just looking at 2D photographs, they could see a crime scene in virtual reality to really get a sense for the case.

What brought your attention into VR

I thoroughly enjoy VR as it stands, but there are some pretty interesting next gen headsets coming out. The Pimax 8k looks promising with almost twice the field of view as HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. It is also supposed to have a much higher resolution rate and number of pixels. Then there are the...

What's your favorite VR Games or type of games?

The best game that I've played so far is Lone Echo. It is well worth the price tag with it's hours and hours of fun. I also really enjoy puzzle type games...one awesome one is called Form. I haven't really tried any shooting games, but look forward to it.

PSA: Get Excited for Budget Cuts in May!

One game that is definitely worth the $50-60 price tag is Lone Echo. My firend and I played it for 5+ hours and still haven't finished it. It is nice and long, has an awesome storyline, and amazing graphics. Be forewarned though, you may get VR sickness with Lone Echo being set in a zero G...

Welcome to the new and improved WC VR/AR forums!

Clarissa here. I've been using the Oculus Rift exclusively and it has been pretty amazing so far. I've used a friend's up to this point, but eventually want one of my own. I just have to save up for a powerful enough PC and then the headset itself.

    Standalone VR devices

It is true that the Oculus GO is coming out with an untethered headset, but the ones out there right now that are standalones use different brands of phone. That being said, it would be nice to have a standalone headset, but they are really up to par with the PC tethered ones at the moment.

What's the difference between VR and AR?

re: To the best of my knowledge, AR is when a computer image is superimposed on object or in places in the real world. Virtual reality takes you into a completely computer generated reality and blocks out the real world. I honestly think that VR is the best of the two at the moment.

What brought your attention into VR

I first got on to VR through a friend. He is a tech enthusiast and invited me over to play. The first thing he wanted me to try was fruit ninja VR, and that was super fun. But I think, of all the games I've played so far, Form and Lone Echo have been the most fun. I love the fantasy genre and...
