    Remote Access Viability

It is usable. I have a virual machine sitting on my DSL line that I RDP into if I need to use a real browser when PIE won't cut it (if Opera could be made to work with the Redfly this need would diminish). Having a fast CPU does make a difference, my tilt would occasionally have problems keeping...

It would appear that you'd end up with a ton of cables/adapters if you wanted to use this as a portable video setup. The A/V cable for the Zune is three RCA plugs, you'd need the Redfly media cable to get the video to the Redfly, and then you'd need a RCA to 3.5mm headphone adpater to be able...

    Use Treo 800 as remote

You know that's an interesting way of using the redfly that I had not considered. I just switched to a keyboardless device (Diamond) because of my reduced need for a keyboard with the redfly, but I can see if you had a Treo or a blackjack how just using the redfly as a bigger screen might work.

Hands on review of HTC Touch Diamond P3700 US Version?

I have the unlocked GSM version. The D-Pad does suck, but other than that it is a beautiful small phone.

    Suggested enhancement:- built-in Remote Desktop

My initial reaction to this idea was all negative, but I can see my merits if it made use of the phone for network connectivity. My experience with RDP and the Redfly is that the processing power of the phone is somewhat of a bottleneck, this is easily observable by comparing the Redfly/Phone...

    Case Options?

The Case Logic DVD player sleeve is a little big for the Redfly, by and inch or so in height and width. The best option I have found so far is a EEEPC 701 sleeve that is still a little loose but much better than the Case Logic.

    Redfly newbie question

The BT connection is quite usable and great for those moments when you just want to dash out a quick email or check something on the web. The main downsides to using bluetooth are: 1. When using the BT connection the screen will occasionally redraw for no apparent reason. This can be somewhat...

    Compatible Apps

Personally I think the killer Redfly app is NetHack :) With the Windows Mobile RDP client the Redfly function keys don't seem to work, which is slightly annoying as I like to RDP into a full Windows box, fire up IE and switch to full screen mode, and it would be nice if the shortcut key (F11)...

    Ethernet support

I'm using the Dlink AP to connect right now, have to say it is really nice and small, and the travel case is a nice touch. I do wish they'd used a mini usb connector for the power supply though as I could have reduced my cable count by one.

    Charger!!!

I'm a big fan of the Zune AC Adapter as it is pretty compact, the prongs fold flat to make it even smaller, and it is just a 1 amp USB socket so I can charget anything that works with USB.

    Ethernet support

Thanks for the recommendation. I have one of these waiting for me at the post office. Will report back how well it works with my Tilt/Redfly combo.

    Case Options?

I must admit what I am most looking for at the moment is a form fitting neoprene sleeve to use when storing the redfly in a larger bag. That said, I find the incase bag that I posted originally about to be perfect for taking the redfly down to a cafe or to a seminar, it fits my phone, a cable...

    How do you use REDFLY?

How's the performance of the ICA client compare to the Windows RDP client? I've been disappointed with the WM RDP client - it's usable but the phone can get bogged down in screen refreshes, not a bandwidth issue as RDPing into the same box from my laptop with the phone tethered does not exhibit...

How long until VGA phones are supported?

Any updates? I'm seriously considering buying a US 3G frequency Touch Diamond in the near future and ditching my tilt, but my Redfly support is crusical to that happening...
