China. I forget the company name, but there is one you will find, sells both OEM and cheaper copy screens, digitisers and more. I got one (OEM) and as far as I can tell its identical to the original. Quite easy to change, but it is easier to buy screen plus digitiser to avoid having to fit them...

Well I can clarify that I have the exact same phone and setup combination, and I also have not got Cyan so far. I am actually in the middle east but that has not made any difference with the other OTA updates like the dev 8.1 and so on, which turned up when expected... Sigh... D.

Hi, FYI folks the method below the Dragone posted worked fine for me on my UK 920, took a couple of hours, but most of the time is restoring the apps... kr D.

I tried with UK and US setup (with/without Cortana etc.) in my 920 with 8.1 dev preview, and it still fails with error 0x80188308 after the download, when it tries to install (gears..). Oh well, all the earlier updates were ok, I guess I was due for a screwup.. :( -D

Well, all I can say is that on my 920 with WP8.1 dev preview, it's always worked fine, where I am, service is mostly 4G, and I have also used this since the beginning. So I suppose it's something with SFR...

Don't think so, you'll have to wait until the "official" release when you can turn off the US settings. We (all outside US..) are in the same situation.. :( Shouldn't be long now..

Hmmm, I've never seen those (before or after installing 8.1) on my "uk/euro unbranded" 920. Just those silly dots...

re: Works for me, she asks me if I want it read and if I respond... she does. In car via bluetooth or just the phone by itself on speaker... -D

I have Win7 and 920 with 8.1, I see my folders and files via file explorer, just like before. I did notice it (my laptop) seemed to ID the phone as a new device after the 8.1 install, and (re) install the drivers. I have noticed in the past that with some USB cables the phone isn't recognised...
