You are coming from Android? Google refused to do apps for windows phones so you will not have any official apps that use Google services. Search YouTube in store, there are some really good third party aps. For Chrome.... just use Internet Explorer it is really good and reliable on windows...

Cortana is will learn your friends names if you use it more. But you can do something to speed up the learning process. If you try to edit (edit name) a contact you will see at the bottom a field with Phoneticfirst/last name. Cortana will look though this fields as well. For example I taught...
