Just updated to the anniversary update (i think - 14393.5) from the preview ring. Now whatsapp doesn't show as an option for notifications in the settings. Within the app there are options for the notification but on the OS level there is no option. Is it just me or did this anniversary...

Newest updated pushed on the preview ring (14393.5) has much better standby battery drain but I still don't think it is as good as it used to be on 8.1. Last night, I slept with the phone at 100% and woke up to the phone at 88%. That is much better than was on the previous version. I'll take it!

I'm surprised. It only has a 2000mAh battery. I wonder where all the extra juice is leaking on the Icon. Not to hijack my own posting, but how do you compare the windows 10 experience on the 928 vs Icon?

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. It appears that windows 10 (release preview builds) mobile has been pretty solid on my Icon. The battery drainage seems to be same as before when I am using the phone. The big difference I've seen is on standby. I can have my phone fully...

This is a Verizon lock out. You will need to use the registry tool open up that function. It is locked out on Icon per VZW. It is not that hard at all... let me find you a link.

Me too. It's free and it works well on my icon. Even the Win10 app works very nicely.

I'm interested in bringing my Icon to Ting Mobiles service. When I look up the MEID number in their BYOD (bring your own device) search tool, it shows that the Icon would have 2G and 4G LTE on the GSM bands but not 3G (CDMA bands not supported at all). Has anyone tried the Icon on Ting? If...

I'm interested in making the move to Ting with my Icon as well. Have you made any progress on this front? Or is this really a Verizon specific lock out?
