Sales did NOT know about whether "existing x3" could be upgraded. Tech Support "immediately said "NOT YET"! I replied, "not, yet or not EVER"? She said "we HAVE BEEN WORKING on it for some time" now.

Thanks for doing this and sharing ... very encouraging! The unfortunate fact is "in the background" neither HP, nor Verizon are saying ANYTHING "publically" to the news outlets. It would be great IF HP would make a statement about where the Elite x3 fits in their overall smartphone strategy?

Technically, the Elite x3 IS ARM but "not the new, under development Windows on ARM". The blogs say that a Qualcomm 835 "or greater" is a minimum technical requirement ... the Elite x3 is only a Qualcomm 820.

Dan HAS an Elite x3 "current model" and has skin in this game ... but, nothing from him on this subject yet !!! Hey Dan ... WILL existing HP Elite x3's be "upgradable"???

Everyone "here" must remember that the HP Elite x3 ON VERIZON is a "pure Enterprise play" = NOT for "consumers". We simply "get lucky enough to hopefully buy some" for non-Enterprise use. I would imagine that the DEMAND for an Elite x3 "ON VERIZON" must be pretty great or HP would NEVER HAVE...
