I ended up with the Iphone. It turned out I was offered one free of charge from my new employer this week or I could use my own phone; which would have been a Lumia on the 18th if they were for sale. I asked the tech people at the company about WP and they said they havent seen one they liked...

I held a Nokia employee's 900 at CES. Yes, great hand feel and look to this phone.

It's amazing to me that NOK let's its customers' expectation get thrown around like this without even a sniff of a comment. The latest instance of this stupidity? http://www.windowscentral.com/new-rumor-att-launching-lumia-900-april-8th WPcentral quotes a comment in the Verge forums that say...

do you know the guy? Is he "your guy" or just a randomn ATT guy. The fact that he even knew what a WP was is an accomplishment.

That's a lost opportunity IMO. People would pay to have their car talk to their AVR to tak to their phone to talk to their TV...

OT: How do you like your Focus? Im thinking the strategy for me may be to get the latest Focus and upgrade to whatever the best WP hardware is when I AT&T lets me upgrade next.

So far the official Nokia screw up tally is only one. But it's a big one. They announced the 900 inthe U.S. to much fanfare and praise and over 60 days later they have said absolutely nothing about it. It doesnt matter why there's a holdup (NOK/ATT/FCC/whatever)...that's a big screw-up all by...

adding to your point, it's not like the Lumia was replacing anything in the US, so adding to Nokia 's screwup is the fact that the be-careful-not-to-surprise-your-existing-customers-with-updated-product logic does not apply to the Lumia 900 in the US.

Im still going to AT&T on the 18th and that day will decide if I stay Iphone or go Lumia 900. Im tempted to go today b/c my current phone is in such bad shape...but im sticking to this policy. What will be amazing to me is if we still hear nothing from AT&T or NOK by the close this coming...
