TP2 shipping with Manila 2.5 installed?

Never did hear what 2.6 has. I wonder what version Sprint's 6.5 upgrade will use.

    Sprint 6.5 Upgrade?

Latest word is end of Q1. The rumor is Sprint may be deploying the latest version of Sense. Or at least something that is supposed to be unique from the VZW and TMO versions of the TP2 6.5.

    |MalROM| v1.0 WM6.5.3 (28014) for Sprint

Mal - In one of your older roms did the HTC qwerty soft keyboard have the letters appear above the keys when you press them? In the latest rom, with the threaded email, which is killer, the keys don't appear above the "press" anymore?

is the touch pro 2 upgradeable to WinMo 6.5?

Oct 6th is the highly anticipated date of WinMo 6.5's release. It will be available for the Touch Pro2. I haven't seen any information on the exact timing of releases for TMo, Sprint, or Verizon. Some have speculated that the upgrade will be available on release day. But we'll probably hear...

Dude, this battery life is attrocious

mono - you are right on the mark. the same issue happens on sprint/verizon phones when there is spotty EVDO coverage and the phone has to fall back to 1xRTT (the cdma equivalent of 3g and 2g). but i don't know of a way to lock in just the 1xRTT.

Few questions about TP2 (MAY LEAD TO MORE)

yup... MMS and SMS are built in. Nothing to download. Touch screen varies from app to app. Most are "finger friendly" these days. But some things like settings area still benefit from the stylus. You can add a complex or simple password (from the settings area).

Dude, this battery life is attrocious

Hmm... hadn't actually thought of that... but I think Jawse is right... I shut off the GSM radio (and took the SIM out) a while ago and I saw better battery performance but that it was because the battery was getting "burned in".....

    external batter charger

I suspected you wanted something like what you can see here. But if you have a Sprint or Verizon Touch Pro2 do *not* get this one. I'm not sure if it even works on the T-Mobile version. One of this type (cradle + spare charger) is supposed to be out for Sprint Touch Pro2 in a couple more weeks.

    Blackberry to TP2 Transition. Help!!!

I thought I read that the GPS is unlocked on Verizon TP2? I would be furious with Sprint if I couldn't use GoogleMaps or Bing because the carrier didn't want me to. It's one of two things that keep the iPhone 3GS from being much better than it is today (that and multi-tasking apps).
