Well I'd say if it were kept in your pocket (front) then that's most likely the culprit... IMO DUO is way too big for doing such. Something like Khakis or dress pants with large-loose pockets might be OK but jeans, nope. I was never one to put phones in my pockets during daily use as those spots...

I don't have high hopes for the Surface Duo or Microsoft's abilities to make it a success. If the past is any indicator they'll do their darndest to find a way to screw it up.

Naw the perception is definitely real. People just need to look beyond the past when useless and pointless apps WERE all the rage, eons ago.

Making sure the crew works safe (replacements for those aged)... I didn't "pay" for them but did purchase LOL.

Pretty dumbed-down phones for me too w/o the essential apps I rely on. Never found the web browsing experience close to being acceptable neither and that in itself really cripples these devices as well. Make great conservation pieces though, or paperweights LOL.

My experiences are based off using Windows 10 from the alpha/beta days and having dealt with multiple desktops/laptops at home, work, and friends/family. So it's not one machine or one Windows install I am talking about here. Used to tinker some back-in-the-day but ever since Windows 10 arrived...

That's the thing, Windows 10 for PC had gotten worse which was one of my main tipping points. Used every Windows OS there was (started toying w/computers in 1987), and Windows 10, for me, has been the worst especially when it comes to updates... I still cringe applying updates not knowing if...

Especially on the consumer level... Personally have kept my usage of "anything" MS to a bare minimum for quite some time now not anticipating that to change any time soon.

From my perspective I get the impression MS has trouble forecasting the future. Basically they implement based on the short-term rather than long-term. So although the store may be used by many what makes sense to us doesn't necessarily make sense to Microsoft.
