I had same issue. I took it to Nokia Care (since it was in warranty). Some "Main antenna change" work was done after which issue got resolved

One thing I read on this forum helped as well. Let your L720 discharge to below 10%. Then charge to full using AC charger (not through laptop). Do this 2-3 times, you will observe improvement in battery timing
