    I made this switch. Only touch issue I've seen on the 640 is if you're going to keep it in your pocket, turn off double tap to wake. You will need a micro SIM to mini SIM adapter, but those are cheap. No problems with the SIM card however.

    This is odd. DP 8.1 without cyan my 1520s battery life was horrible. Cyan + official release restored the battery back to almost 2 days of life per charge. And I've installed the DP 8.1 update 1, seeing currently 4 hours since charge, 87%, and 1 day 10 hours remaining.

    The only thing you really can't uninstall is the OS apps. Any carrier installed app can be removed.
