Turns out it wasn't just my battery. The power management IC chip is bad and they can't repair that.

re: [WM10] Lumia 1520 Bugs & Defects Cortana never worked on any version of Win 10 for me. The tile was just a frozen circle with no animation. The battery going critically low and shutting the phone off was also a steadily growing problem. Pretty sure a firmware update is needed.

The critically low battery issue got worse for me over time. Even trying to take a few pictures would trigger that. Seems that certain apps or actions make that happen. Had to roll back to 8.1 and wait for new firmware.

Put win10 on my 1520 on Friday. I did a hard reset and didn't reload any backups. Phone said no sim card once. Some apps randomly act up, mostly stuff like lag before acknowledging that I have selected a photo to upload. Nothing major. Messaging app tile had a message stuck on it for a while...

I have a Dell M3800 and a work colleague has a Lenovo something, both pretty new. We have both upgraded to Win 10 and have no internet access. I have the same issue. I have a 1520 through at&t with 8.1 and Cyan. With cortana pinned the start screen has a bit of a stutter to the animations, especially the app transitions effects when going back and forth from an app to the start screen. It's very annoying and I haven't pinned cortana...

I can confirm that unpinning Cortana will stop the resuming screen of death. I have a 1520. I'm assuming that this is a firmware update issue. Just unpin Cortana for now.

Same here with wechat. I don't even see it in the notification list in settings now. I sent them a message from the app about it, I suggest doing the same. I'm assuming it's a problem on the app makers part and it just needs to be updated since I am still getting notifications from textnow and QQ.
