I don't think you'd be in danger, only some apps will not support the 512mb phones. Microsoft should support them until the next big upgrade comes, such as Windows Phone 9. I would suggest getting a 1GB device anyway, since it just runs so much better.

Currently you can't, you have to re-install the app. Delete it from your phone and download it again from the store.

Re: Official Update For Windows Phone 8.1 According to MS documents June 24 is the start of the product life cycle. So they should start seeding WP 8.1 from today on to carriers and hardware developers and we should gradually start getting our phones upgraded in the next few weeks?

Sometimes when I get a notification from Whatsapp that plays a sound, the headphone output will only play on one side from that moment on. I have to reboot the phone for the sound to get back to both sides. This has been happening since 7.5, and only with Whatsapp.
