From what I've read over on the Garmin forums, many have had luck with notifications on the latest Insider Build. There were a few that said they needed to reinstall Connect Mobile to get it to work. Still sounds like work needs to be done, but at least they aren't jumping ship.

Hard for me to say. I spend a bit of time in the car and use a TYTL Qi charging cradle to keep the battery fresh. However, even on days when I'm not in the car a lot, I cannot remember a time when the 950 XL's battery did not last through the day.

Have not noticed any focusing noise. The shutter sound can't be muted, which takes a little getting used to though.
