If you are refering to selecting the auto APN option off and on again, this is not a reset of the phone - it is just re-applying the APN. I did not reset the phone, I did not turn the phone off and on again. Aand after 5 months of not having tethering I am very happy about it.

A smart bloke here in Australia on the whirlpool forums has found a fix to this problem that worked for me (I'm on the 3/vodafail network). Here is his solution: To solve this problem, just go to "Setting"->"APN" and untick "Automatic APN", wait a few seconds, then tick "Automatic APN" again...

I have found my battery to be very good, I have owned it for 4 or 5 months and it has averaged 1.75% drain per hour I would be lighter usage than you but I leave everything on but the NFC. I easily get 2 days out of a charge and would stretch to 3 at a push.
