The apps I would be listing here would be more useful for Indian Users.. Not that I have not enabled them for the other countries but these apps would make more sense for Indian Users. 1) Gold and Silver Rate An app which gives you updated Gold and Silver prices in INR for major cities in India...

Windows Phone API Has a limitations on automatically manipulating user's phone settings so even if someone makes a launcher type app the max they could do is Launch the Data/Wifi Setting Screen then u need to put it off..then once ur done with that another button would allow u to open...

You were right the easiest way to do it was using RSS but as you say the RSS does not have content...are you sure it does not have it? Usually the RSS should have Summary...if it does not have it...then you might have to Scrape the content using WebClient object and play around with the HTML...

As a developer there might arise a need of know an URI scheme of an existing app or to find URI Schemes for existing Windows Phone settings etc...once you get those URI scheme you also need to test them and thats where you need to open up Visual Studio create a test project and keep testing the...
