This is definitely new and EXTREMELY annoying! In fact if I login to FB on the web or the W8.1 FB app it DOES NOT show any of these posts. I had 3 friend's b'days today and had over 150 random birthday wishes show up in my newsfeed in the People Hub. This makes me think its a problem with WP8...

Shoot, even my Samsung Focus (AMOLED screen) from 2 yrs ago still outperforms 95% of other phones with regard to black levels. That being said, I have gotten used to the contrast and really like the 920 display for its other advantages.

I was also going to suggest the same thing. If you hold down the windows button, you can say "Call Jon mobile" for example. I use it all the time.

You can create a group of 'Family' or 'Close Friends' or whatever in the People Hub. I don't think you can search within that group, but you can pin that group to the home screen. WP integrates all your contacts to simplify it. You may actually find that this makes sense (like I did) if you...
