i'd suggest you to compare them personally. the screen quality and build quality of 8x is way better than 822 . performance is almost same though. 8x gives back up for around 1 day , which whould be pretty much sufficient while 822 does give little more than 8x bcoz of its low resolution. ppl...

even i'm having the same issue with my lumia 822. audio and equalizer option doesn't open only. and it already got sms and 3g bugs because of its last update. windows should come up with proper standard update...this is really irritating !!
