Who is still using a Windows Phone? Honest Question.

We still have a working Idol 4S, haven't turned it on in several years now... interesting to know that it still works with some carriers  I've read of multiple people saying the same thing you did, if you put your SIM in a non-provisioned phone they suspend your account and it takes a...

How do you pocket (carry) your phones?

You have a third choice... the Samsung Z Flip 3 is a 6.7 inch screen phone that folds in half, and becomes tiny. Same with the Moto RAZR 5G. Big screen in a tiny package. Only downside is the folding screen technology is still new. But down the road could be viable options

Who is still using a Windows Phone? Honest Question.

Speaking of banning, are any windows phones still able to operate on any carriers/mvno's? Just curious if windows phones have finally been completely eradicated  Has the technological Ice Age finally sent them the way of the dinosaurs?

How to install Android apps in Windows 10 Phone

I went from windows phone to an LG Thrive that was running pure Android, then went to a Moto X Pure Edition that was also running pure Android, and have now settled on Google Pixels which run strictly pure Android. Pixels get 3 years of monthly security updates, and 3 os upgrades. I'm using a...

    New Lumia with Warranty

They're not new, and Microsoft won't honor the warranty, and neither will the shop selling them. And Amazon won't do anything for you either except for maybe helping you return them within your refund window. Stay far away from them.... it's just another Amazon market place scam.

    Lumia 950xl

There's some extremely good buys on some very good Androids and iPhones right now.... it's a pretty good time to switch cost wise.

    Congratulations Microsoft! I switched.

It took me less than that...... the live tiles never did much for me, and that was the only thing that gave W10M any edge over Android imo. WM fought me tooth and nail the whole time we used it on every phone, all the way from 8 to 10. I hated it on my wife's phone at the end. I jumped for joy...

    Congratulations Microsoft! I switched.

Give the Duo a few years to shrink and come down in price and we'll have the rumoured surface phone. If they can make it affordable and more reliable and less buggy than WM I'll give it another shot ;-)

Latest W10M update destroyed my wife's Alcatel functionality.... and I'm glad

Microsoft FINALLY screwed my wife's phone up so bad with the latest update that even she's sick of it. Thank you Microsoft, I've been trying to get her off your damn buggy phones forever, and she's finally ready. Hallelujah!!!! I'm the family IT guy who has always had to try and make her crappy...

Maps app on W10M does not work at all - how do you reset the app?

Yep I'd put the offline maps on the phone storage along with the maps app. It's always a good idea to keep apps and their associated files together. I believe my wife had problems similar to yours with her Windows 10 phone and the fix was to put the maps on the phone.

Who in the United States can repair a "bricked", Microsoft Lumia 950 XL?

That alone is enough reason to keep it...if you're going to get rid of one dump the Idol 4S, my wife has one and it's been nothing but a PITA :O
