    Thinking about a Lumia 735

Well, from a camera perspective, it sounds like it will be a side step rather than a upgrade. Both have Zeiss optics, where the 822 is 8 mp, the 735 is 6.7 mp. The 735 does have a faster lens at f/1.9 compared to f/2.2. Doesn't sound like the 822 has OIS so that's not missing much. As an...

Genuine OEM Shell colors list ?

To answer my own questions, the case got mis-delivered and the seller offered me a refund. To answer my second question, the MS store in Austin supposedly still has Verizon cases on sale for $10 each. Still haven't swung by to check it out.

Facebook Messenger huge update on mobile

Does it fix the issue where auto-correct/word suggestions just stop working after a while?

    Thinking about a Lumia 735

So I have used the 735 for a week now, and the only frustration I have had with it that is actually due to the phone and not the software (I am glaring at you FB Messenger...) is the double tap to wake feature. Aside from that, I really do love this phone, the size is that perfect sweet spot and...

    Thinking about a Lumia 735

I did upgrade to Windows 10m and to my surprise it actually works so much better than on the 640, to the point where I don't mind using it daily. The camera is naturally a step down from owning the 1020, but I haven't really needed to use it aside from documenting changes made at work, I have...

4th Gen to 6th or 7th Gen i7 Processor Jump - Worth it?

Quite frankly, it seems anything that is 2nd gen Core i or newer hasn't really warranted an upgrade unless it is either broke or you're a gamer playing the latest and greatest at max resolution. I own 2 hp Elitebooks, one with a 2nd gen i5 and another with a 3rd gen i5 low voltage CPU and both...

I have a surface pro with a loose kickstand,

If it is less than a year old, probably best to contact MS and get it repaired/replaced under warranty.

When did the eBay app get withdrawn?

I was looking for the eBay app for W10m last night and noticed it is now missing. Did they just quietly pull the app from the store? I have it installed on my W10 laptop. I also have it on my L1020 and had it on the Surface 2 (they pulled that one), but that's a different story.

can x3 elite run x86 programs?

The one with a Qualcomm SD835 and x86 support... duh... *ba dum tiss* But in all seriousness, I wouldn't hold my breath for the x3 to get x86 app support. It might, but as others have said, Microsoft does not have the best track record of retroactively supporting features.

    Thinking about a Lumia 735

Quick update, I had picked up a RM-1041 to test with on T-Mobile, that didn't work out very well as the phone kept cycling between 2G/LTE non-stop and I couldn't get MMS working. Found a RM-1039 for cheap, so I picked that up. I must say in the 12 hours I have used it, I am enjoying it. The size...

Apps I can't even open are using data, how do I stop them?

So after some prodding, looks like you can't set Hotmail to manually sync in Outlook (because why would you want to do that? /s). Otherwise the steps are as follows: Go to your desired inbox Tap on the ellipsis (...) in the lower right corner Select Settings > sync settings Download new mail...

    Love my 950 XL, but...

How does Sony Xperia cameras stack up against the Lumia? Not that I am trying to drive people off, but I figured if anyone knows how to do a good camera phone, it will be Sony. After all, it seems any phone with a camera worth praising uses a Sony image sensor these days also.

Big problems with power button of my Lumia 1020

Holy... didn't realize it was THAT much effort to fix this issue. My phone's power button is starting to feel soft, I thought it was the button wearing down, not the case... that's unfortunate. I guess I will stick to using DTTW to reduce using the power button.
