Yellow hue on the Lumia 2520's display?

Re: yellow hue to the display? Colors appear yellow because you aren't used to what a properly calibrated display looks like. The problem is that most displays skew WAY too blue, especially televisions in a big-box store, in an appearance to appear brighter to your eyes. Rest assured, the...

Verizon Red Tablet on At&t Network?

Short answer: No. Long answer: The Verizon tablet only has LTE bands 4 and 17. It will *only* ever work on Verizon. AT&T model is far more global, you get 2G, 3G, and 4G (AT&T and T-Mobile LTE band compatible).

Help cant decide lumia 2520 or surface 2?

I expect the Snapdragon 800 to have better battery life as Windows RT doesn't fully utilize the shadow core in the Tegra 4 according to AnandTech.

1520 on T-mobile work (without LTE)?

Wait for the RM-938 model, it'll be more expensive, but you'll get full T-Mobile HSPA+ and LTE compatibility, plus 32GB storage and Qi wireless charging. And hopefully better color selection too.

Is it likely that s-voice and Social hub etc. be included in Samsung wp8 devices?

No. OEMs are only allowed to build apps just like 3rd party developers, they are not allowed to muck around and change the core OS.

how would you estimate when MS shows all wp8 features?

Windows Phone 8 SDK is likely waiting for Windows 8 and Visual Studio 2012 RTM, though we are going to get an announcement of consumer features before then, as the Hyper-V instance will likely have all of those features built-in.

Do you think we will see more carriers carry WP8 phones

My guess is that all carriers were fully aware of the roadmap that lay ahead and decided to jump on at Windows Phone 8.

What are the chances MS changes their minds and WP7.8 gets NT Kernel

Absolutely none. This also prevents another problem, as Windows Phone 8 developers now have a MUCH higher GPU standard when developing games, making it very similar to Windows RT tablet hardware. It is sad if you just bought a Lumia 900, but I want Windows Phone 8 devices to be the absolute...

What if Samsung buys controlling interest of Nokia?

I'm surprised it took so long for that to come up. It's usually a no-no for the #1 phone maker (Samsung) to buy the #2 phone maker (Nokia) because of the sheer number of phones both companies sell.

    New speed record on "4G"

Yeah.... considering AT&T's HSPA+ network is only a theoretical 21Mbps, you got a false positive. That's why multiple benchmark tests are run. Sorry.

    Should I leave Android

You can actually disable Facebook/Twitter contacts from popping up in your address book (while still keeping all that info synced). I'm glad people are giving honest answers about people coming from other platforms. We know that Windows Phone 8 is so close that I would avoid using a subsidy...

Why WP has such slow growth

Based on the latest quarterly sales stats from Verizon and AT&T, it's obvious that Android won't be the savior they were looking for and wireless carriers need something to stop the overwhelming sales of the iPhone, lest they be beholden to Apple. Already, the iPhone costs $100 more to subsidize...

I guess its a good time be owning a windows phone

There are plenty of exploits for iOS. What do you think jailbreaks are? The issue is packaging them up with a payload that a normal user would do, and those are indeed rare. However, exploits these days are rarely in the OS, but 3rd party libraries that the OS ships with or depends on. I...

What happened to the mother's day launch of the pink Lumia 900?

My guess? Limited supply of the current 900 colors mean that switching production to a different color isn't really ideal right now. It's already been delayed in parts of Europe.

Windows Phone 8 *might* have limited Flash support

Paul's job isn't to be a Microsoft cheerleader, it's to be critical of the companies he reports on. Since he has had interaction with the Windows team, he has to be critical so they don't make mistakes. That's it. I don't think he'd willingly bash the platform he personally uses for fun. Oh...
