I don't think it looks bad at all. It's what I'm doing right now (and had done previously with my Fitbit).

I would definitely buy it again. So far my only complaint is that it's not the most comfortable device to wear, but i'm getting used to it.

How so? So far from reading this thread and looking at their advertising, not to mention actually owning the device, I see nothing deceptive at all.

It doesn't yet, but I would be surprised if someone doesn't write some sort of app once they open this up to developers.

I wear it with the screen on the inside. I tried both ways and that was the only way that I found it comfortable to wear.

I have noticed that it can take a bit to start registering steps if I've been sitting for awhile, but when it does it normally adds the extra steps I took.

My screen protector was easy to apply and looks great. I normally don't use screen protectors since I don't like the look/feel of them, but I'm pretty impressed with the one that came with this device. Mine looks pretty much exactly like the oens posted by bitman417

What was wrong with the Microsoft Store retail location? My store has always given me great service.

I haven't really found eBay or Craigslist to be that much of a hassle. I think the Microsoft Store has a trade-in program, but you will, at best, get half of what you would selling it on craigslist or ebay.
