I guess it's goodbye for me in regards to ATIV SE. I had terrible signal with it on Tmobile. I'd get LTE but there would be no data connection and I had to keep rebooting the phone a couple times for it to get a data connection. Not super great when you're in Vegas and trying to share some pics...

Xda, don't use IE to download. Use a different browser. Or just rename it to .xap

Also wanted to recognize the guys over on the Windows 10 on Ativ SE thread. Great work by them finding us this amazing method of getting all the way up to speed.

I've been struggling with this on both the vcreg1.5 app and the RootTool.xap app. I thought I was going crazy and missing something. Everything works pretty well for me on build 10586.164. I just wanted to add a hosts file so I can use it to adblock. I don't care about much more customization...

So it looks like Windows 10 is being rolled out, except it's a very limited set of phones. Looks like for now this will be our only way to get updates and going forward as well. Shame, because ATIV SE is one of the most powerful and best looking phones out there still

Hey guys, Thanks for the detailed post and the info listed here. Just got an ATIV-SE and was trying to set it up. Unfortunately I was only able to get to 8.1 14219 and when I'd try to install Windows10 it'd start the installation and fail saying some error 80xxxx. Afterwards I did a hard reset...

seriously? that's what ATMs are for? Gee I didn't know that. The whole point of the apps are for mobile check deposit. I will never understand this level of Microsoft defending. Sheesh.

Oh wow. Maybe then. I just reset it one more time. In the process of installing it Hopefully it does recover.

Have the same issue here. Seeing that a lot of people were affected by it I'm hopeful that they maybe able to fix it? I really hope so, I have years worth of messaging history that I don't want to lose :(

My messaging use hasn't changed but the phone is dying very quickly. Something like within 6-8 hours which never happens on my Lumia 640

Still waiting for this phone, very patiently. Saw the sign at the local Wal-Mart without any actual phones hanging there. Same price $99.76. Really hoping this phone hurries and comes out.
