Yes, it works just fine. The included cord is very short, so I replaced it with a longer one I had lying around.

This. Cup your hands around the speakers and it makes a huge difference. I was editing video, with low-level volume from the on-camera mic, and was nearly impossible to hear without cupping my hands around the speakers. Headphones worked even better!

Ummm...that's how I always carry it in my pocket. And I still have considerable dust in the FFC.

I would just keep an eye on it. If it starts getting considerably worse quickly, then you should be concerned. I don't know how Battery Bar measures this, and/or how accurate it is. I've had brand new laptop batteries start at 10%.

I agree 100%. I've never had a laptop with more than 3hrs of battery life, because I require a machine powerful enough for Photoshop & video-editing. So the Surface Pro's battery life is an improvement, for me.
