Windows Phone died a while ago. W10M was never really alive.

Amazing Nokia hardware and user friendly UI. Of course MS threw that all away with W10M but using WP is still a nice experience even if MS left it for dead.

If I cared about up to date apps I wouldn't have switched from Android to Windows Phone years ago. I came to WP because of the user friendly UI, clean design language, keyboard, etc. All of that is still intact in 8.1.

One more reason not to "upgrade" to Windows 10 Whatever.

Forget performance. The UI alone in W10M when compared directly to 8.1 is a sad joke. It's like MS threw out pretty much of everything they learned about a clean design language, user friendliness and presentation and decided to give us a cheap Android knockoff with tiles. I guess sloppy...

The clowns at MS never fixed this problem. Happening with my 640 and 820 running 8.1.

The state of WP/W10Whatever: On the bright side there has never been a better time to buy a Windows device. They're dirt cheap.

Good for you but a many who came to WP because of it's user friendly UI don't agree.

So because all the other apps are badly designed he should copy that? That's pretty sad. The buttons are for the bottom and the info is at the top. Even MS' clueless designers agree with this most of the time.

It's the look and function of it. I know it's an Android and now Windows 10 thing (since MS lost their minds) but placing icons at the top of the screen is just clunky and annoying. It also makes an app look more like a cheap mobile website then something that is polished and made for touch...

Get rid of the hamburger menu and we'll take it from there.

Still sticking to Windows Phone and it's eco system because sadly there's no other alternative. Will never go back to Android because Google is pretty much evil and iOS... I would't be caught dead with anything that has to do with Apple. Unfortunately MS has done everything it can to push it's...
